Unlike many Schools which has
10+2 programme and other institutions that runs just +2
programmes we at Cambridge College manage teaching and
learning process in a different way.
The salient feature of our
approach is continues monitoring and evaluation methods.
Instead of terminal examination you will be giving tests
continuously every week on each subject. We call this
‘Weekly Test Series’ (WTS). This method relieves you
from heavy load of giving examination on all subjects in one
time. It helps you keep in touch with the subjects that are
being taught in the class. Our experience shows those
students who have done well in the weekly test have easily
succeeded in the final examination conducted by Higher
Secondary Board. In fact students have obtained more marks
in the board examination than they have obtained in the
internal examination.
Attendance is another important features in our system. Though at junior college level you have more freedom to do what you like, however because of your age you may not be in the position to decide what is best for you. To restrain you from moving out of the set path certain disciplinary approach has to be maintained to keep you within the track. So, to make our work efficient and effective we have introduced computer programme to monitor your attendance daily. Because of the increasing number of students in our college the manual system that we worked in the past years can not give information fast enough to know the problem and help reach a solution in time.
Our management approach
always been guided by to help students to focus in their
future. For those students who are serious in their
study we give all our support and create best environment to
help them excel in what they do best. We assist who are lost
in 2nd and critical phase of their student life.
It is natural for all young people to get lost now and then,
but it is equally important that they remind within the
fold. As educator we do not believe in using drastic
measures that can spoil a life. We provide opportunity for
you to participate and cooperate in all the College activity
whether it is annual functions, welcome and farewell
reception or games.
Though it sound easy to say
that we do continuous monitoring and evaluation it is
indeed a herculean task to keep ourselves abreast with each
individual student and their progress. Nevertheless we do it
to keep adding value to what we are at best – teaching.
